On Friday September 15th, Thrive had the honor of celebrating with Realty One Group Discovery at their 2nd Anniversary Party, and all money raised went into our Housing Fund! The festivities included s’mores roasting, adventure hot dogs, ax throwing, an auction and more - it was a fun time had by all and an honor to be asked to be the beneficiaries of the event.
Part of our Housing to Thrive partnership program was featured at the event, which is geared toward housing professionals in realty, building and contracting. Our goal with this program is to find champions in the community that can share the work that we do and support our Housing Fund in a sustainable way.
Every dollar raised at the event, and with Housing to Thrive in general goes directly back into our community as housing support for those applying for and moving into sustainable housing: application fees, rental assistance, and security deposit help.
Our dream is for this fund to be sustainable, so that help is available for folks anytime it’s needed. Currently assistance is only available for folks when we receive grants for specific needs, funding that is finite and sometimes comes with high requirements for applicants.
